by LOH WING YIP Visit Date:June 24, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Hotel is average but location is good as it is in the town area and close to facilities. Bathrooms need upgrade.
Breakfast spread is fairly good and the staff are friendly and good service." | Sawadee as always provides an excellent service. I highly recommend them. Thank you for all your efficiency and great advice too., April 28, 2010
by GERRIT DE GRAAF Visit Date:April 26, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We loved our stay in Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai Hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had all the conveniences. They booked our trip to Hellfire Pass for the Anzac Day Service and everything was great." | Service VG apart from the cumpulsory meal for Sangcran which apparently only applied to Sawadee bookings and were the only couple that turned up for dinner in a 200 seater dining room., April 25, 2010

by Monica Visit Date:March 19, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Dirty old hotel, rundown and smelly old carpets in the hallway. The bathroom was nasty, with water running from the toilet all over the floor.
We werent the only one staying in the room, at night we could hear some kind of animal making noices. Maybe rats? we dont know. The breakfast had a lot to offer, if you re used to eating thaifood for breakfast that is. The staff looked friendly, however they couldn t speak so good english. When I asked for the internetcode I had to talk to 3 diffrent staffmembers until they understood what I wanted.
Many things was below expectations, but the poolarea was very nice I must say." | Very good but needs a better description on you website., March 2, 2010
by Mr L A Murkitt Visit Date:February 26, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Very poor rooms badly in need of update. Certainly not worth the money.

by Terrence John Long Visit Date:February 23, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Very pleasant hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast was included. Close to most of the attractions." | Perfect. No doubt at all, February 3, 2010
by Kwan Yung Sun Wong Foon Mai Visit Date:February 1, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "There are not too many hotels in the city area. So, this hotel can be say the best hotel in the city. Hotel is clean, but old. Look like going back to years of James Bond s movie.
Motor bike rental is easy, but car rental is disappointed in Kanachanburi. Perhaps poor business at there. There is only 1 agent, Good Time Travel to handle car rental." | no problem, January 6, 2010

by Vermeulen Marc Visit Date:December 23, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Bathroom needs refreshment and renovations, not clean . Swimming pool closed for renovation on peak season ( 24 - 25 dec.)." | Sawadee.com is a pleasure to book through., January 11, 2010
by Nathan Visit Date:December 15, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Ok for the price but would not recomend for any more than 1 night. Staff not friendly at all. We were booked for honeymoon in a non-smoking room and they gave us a room with 2 single beds. When we asked to change rooms to a double they put us in a smoking room that a heavy smoker had been in. Reasonably clean for 1 night (apart from the cigarette smell) but would not do a long stay." | Had no problems - very straight forward, December 4, 2009
by Clare Elaine Spicer Visit Date:November 28, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "For a 3 star the hotel was great. We really liked the location as we were able to walk to a lot of places during the day and then just got on the back of a bike to visit places farther away, which was great fun! If we were to go back we would stay there again. On the advice of some friends we did request a quiet room, although we could still hear the base of the music which wasn t too bad for us as we stayed out mostly, it did finish at a reasonable time. The service provided by guest relations and reception was very helpful and informative." | Never a problem, I ALWAYS use them!, November 26, 2009 by Dennis Mitchell Visit Date:November 23, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This is about my fourth stay at the hotel in three years. I cannot fault the place. Perfect location, just 1Km from the bus terminal in one direction, and the railway station and War Cemetery in the other. Was rather disappointed with the Thai breakfast this time around, although there is still the best breakfast choice I have ever seen at any Thai hotel. Staff have limited English - the hotel seems to be mainly for wealthier Thai people to stay at. Your other options are resorts up along the Kwai river, which you will need to book through tour agents in order to get there unless you are driving yourself. But I love the place - I do not go to Thailand to mix with Westerners - I do that back here in Aussie all the time. If you want to tour the Tiger Temple and Hellfire Pass etc, hire a songtiew (two bench car) at the bus station. You should pay B700 for a half day, and twice this for a full day. You go where YOU want to go, not where the tour operator wants to take you! (I hired a half day to the Tiger Temple for the above price).I rate the hotel service as excellent, but then, I speak a few words of Thai, which helps." | Booking service was fine although would be easier if they accepted Thai bank debit cards on the internet booking service., October 24, 2009
by Richard Thomson Visit Date:October 22, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This is a three star hotel so one shouldn t expect more. On the plus side location is good especially if you don t have your own transport, the room was comfortable with lovely large feather pillows, swimming pool big with pleasant sun deck and there is a small fitness room. On the minus side, breakfast is adequate though not inspiring, although the coffee is surprisingly good but they insist on serving sweetened milk. If you have a room facing the front don t even think about trying to sleep until the disco finishes at 2:00am. When checking in ask for a quiet room at the back. Check in staff were helpful and spoke good English. Internet available at 80 baht per hour." | Hotels & Resorts RecommendDestination:Krabi Location:Ao Nang, Nopparattara Beach Address:177 Moo 3, Aonang Beach, City:Muang, Krabi 81000 Start Rate:45 USD (Rate as of Jul 29 2010 23:35:12 GMT) Destination:Pattaya Location:Pattaya, Beach Rd.
